Disability Culture Activism Lab: Maximizing Accessibility with Alison Kopit

In this interactive workshop, Alison Kopit will introduce different forms of accessibility. Together, the group will build ideas around what it means to cultivate practices and relationships based in accessibility. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in discussion and activities to start strategizing for how to integrate access into their practices in a meaningful and joyful way.

About Alison Kopit: Alison Kopit (she/her) is a queer and disabled artist and doctoral candidate in Disability Studies at UIC. Her work focuses on infusing Disability Justice into cultural spaces. She believes that the principles of Disability Justice have the potential to transform arts-based communities as well as our relationships to ourselves and each other.
