Join us on Tuesday, February 4, for a Community Unity webinar. Right now, people in disability communities across the nation are feeling very anxious about potential changes to federally funded programs and civil rights protection. In this moment, many of us need to hear healing words of wisdom from experienced advocates who are intimately familiar with what it is like to live with a disability. How we lean into our disability communities is incredibly important for our collective work and well-being.
We will feature a panel of four amazing Access Living staff who are deeply engaged in caring for the hearts and spirits of people with disabilities. Join us as they reflect on what is impacting disabled lives right now, what feels healing, and what community unity looks like in the current moment.
Our speakers include:
- Latricia “Trish” Seye, Vice President of Independent Living
- Candace Coleman, Community Strategy Specialist
- Jersey-Shabazz Hosier, Manager of Policy and Government AffairsÂ
- Michelle GarcĂa, Manager of Organizing
The webinar will be from 2-3 pm Central time on Tuesday, February 4, on Zoom.
The discussion will be moderated by Amber Smock, Vice President of Advocacy. ASL, captioning, and Spanish translation will be provided. Register for this webinar at this link.
