We are thrilled to announce that our immediate past board chairman, longtime board member, and Access Living ally, Andrés Gallegos, has been named the new chairman of the National Council on Disability. This designation was made official by the White House on January 20, signed by President Joseph R. Biden.

“Disability is not a partisan issue — it impacts everyone at some point in their lives,” said Gallegos. “I look forward to working with the President, the new administration and the federal agencies  to make sure disability is considered in every important policy decision. Working with Access Living has prepared me well for the role, and I’m eager to continue working with the Access Living team in this new capacity.”
