Before joining Access Living Janet was a special education/ higher education ADA trainer and staff attorney at Disability Rights New York where she represented people with disabilities in employment, higher education, and housing discrimination cases, SSI/SSD cases, and through prison, nursing home, and sheltered workshop advocacy. She was also a Teen Court volunteer and a volunteer attorney for the Western District of New York Federal Court reentry program.
Janet began her career at the Orange-Osceola County Public Defender’s Office and is a 2015 Up & Coming attorney recipient. She holds a bachelor’s in political science from Stony Brook University and a law degree from the University of Miami.
