Let’s talk community events! We’d like to share about two upcoming Access Living disability community events next week.
**It is very important to register in advance!**
On Wednesday, March 26, come join the third installment of Knowledge is Power (KIP)!
KIP is a community education series developed by the Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities and Access Living. The focus of KIP is to talk about how federal government actions affect people with disabilities, and how we can make our concerns known. Here is what you need to know to join KIP on Wednesday! Come prepared to ask questions.
- Date: Wednesday, March 26, 2025
- Time: 1-2:30 pm Central Time
- Topics (subject to change): Federal action related to Medicaid, the Department of Education, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and more
- Access: We will have captioning, ASL, and Spanish interpretation. When you register, please be sure to let us know on the form if you need additional access supports.
The KIP registration link is here! When you register, you will get an email with the Zoom link for the meeting.
The Access Living Community Dinner this month is on Thursday, March 27!
We’re so pleased at the enthusiastic community response to our free community dinners so far this year. Be sure to RSVP for your spot as soon as possible, because the seats go fast! Due to space restrictions and access considerations, you MUST be on the RSVP list to attend.
- Date: Thursday, March 27, 2025
- Time: 5:30-7:30 pm
- Where: Access Living’s fourth floor, 115 W. Chicago Avenue
The Community Dinner RSVP link is here! Be sure to note your access needs.
Please submit an individual RSVP for EACH person attending. The RSVP form will close when we reach our maximum of 80 seats.
Please share these opportunities with fellow advocates in the Chicago area and in Illinois. Thank you for your advocacy!
