Emma is a storyteller, digital strategist, and unapologetic lover of the rule of three. She has worked as a communications professional in many different fields, including crises counseling, healthcare, and community development. She has worked on organizational communications, content creation, marketing, digital media, coalition building, and digital philanthropy through the #ILGive for #GivingTuesday campaigns.
She joined Access Living at the start of 2019 and oversees the conception, creation, and deployment of digital campaigns and collateral and manages digital channels on the Access Living website and social networking channels. She is also responsible for ensuring digital accessibility in these areas as well as developing accessible documents, graphics, digital content and events, and providing accessibility training to internal and external clients. In this capacity she consults with colleagues, community partners, and Disability Inclusion Institute clients on accessibility planning, improvements, and remediation.
Emma has bachelor’s degrees in theater and English from Illinois State University. In 2021 she was certified by the International Association of Accessibility Professionals as a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC).
