Carlos Terrazas is a disability inclusion manager for the McDonald’s Corporation, one of the world’s largest and most influential brands, where he drives their first-ever disability inclusion strategy. He plays a vital role in achieving the McDonald’s Corporation’s three Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategic pillars:
- Represent the diverse communities where McDonald’s operates
- Accelerate cultures of inclusion and belonging in their operations globally
- Dismantle barriers to economic opportunity
Carlos ensures there is a disability lens for all DEI initiatives and ensures that impact five stakeholder groups: employees, Franchisees, suppliers, customers, and communities
Throughout his time at McDonald’s, Carlos has made a significant contribution to a variety of projects, such as co-leading the inaugural DEI Annual Report and advancing a self-ID campaign across the company. He has extensive experience working cross-functionally with global stakeholders, collaborating to achieve meaningful results, and improving business performance.
Previously, Carlos has worked in diverse areas such as women’s rights, educational and economic equity, and policy. He has worked as a consultant for organizations such as Incite Network and the National Council on Aging. While living in the United Kingdom, Carlos developed a data-driven report with policy actions to create safe spaces for women and girls in London.
