Laura Saltzman is a disabled woman and lifelong resident of Chicago. She is the Senior Policy Analyst where she leads all city policy work at Access Living with a particular focus on transportation crisis response, criminal justice reform, and health related policy
Prior to working at Access Living, she worked as a Salesforce system’s admin and data analyst on the grants administration team at Westside Justice Center, with a specific focus on A2J, a grant working to mitigate the effects of mass incarceration. She also worked as a researcher for Good Government Illinois.
Laura received a bachelor’s in Sociology with concentrations in both Health and Agriculture from University of Wisconsin-Madison and is currently the Chair of the Chicago Transit Authority ADA Committee is a member of the Regional Transit Authority Community Advisory Board and the O’Hare ADA Passenger Committee.
In her previous life she was a professional chef and baker.
