Monica is a Grant Writer on Access Living’s development team. Previously, she worked as the Program Director Assistant for the Directors of Advocacy and Independent Living, and coordinated multiple large-scale events focused on disability during the 2018/2019 state and local election cycles. Monica graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in global studies with a focus on international health. Before coming to Access Living, she interned for U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky, working on immigration cases and utilizing her international perspective and knowledge of both Spanish and French. When not in the office, you can find Monica at a concert or planning her next international getaway.
