White text on a yellow ribbon that cuts across the center of the image. Text reads Rewritten Narratives: A Comic Workshop. Background image is a closeup of a person's hands. One hand holds a pencil, posed over a sketchbook covered in sketches and writing. The other hand, covered in a floral tattoo, rests next to the notebook.

Rewritten Narratives: A Comic Workshop is for participants who self-identify as disabled and/or chronically ill, whether the disability is apparent or non-apparent. This could mean anything from physical disabilities, learning disabilities, “invisible” disabilities, and disabilities caused by mental health concerns.

Let’s reclaim and rewrite our stories as disabled people through writing and drawing together! Too often disabled individuals have their stories told to them by medical professionals and cultural norms. It’s time to get the power back and tell our own tales!

In-person sessions available Tuesdays, with virtual sessions available Thursdays.

No art making skills or experiences required.

Attendees will receive transportation stipend (PACE vouchers).
